Let the Search Begin!

Our previous house was very small, about 1250 sf, so we didn't have room for a lot of furniture.  The master bedroom consisted of a queen bed, two night stands and a ten drawer hi-boy dresser.  We moved into this house last August and in doing so almost doubled the size of our bedroom.  Not really, but it feels that way.  Here are some pictures to give you an idea of what I mean.

Anywho, I've decided to seriously start looking for a another dresser.  I want six drawers and something with simple lines and not a lot of details.  I've had my eye on this one from Crate and Barrel for a while,

but at $700 plus shipping it is a little out of my price range.  I guess I'll be making some trips to my local furniture haunts to do some bargain hunting.  My only must is that it has to be solid wood because I want to paint it.  I'm thinking a beige with gray undertones or a fabulous rich cream.

I know you must be thinking, "that would look awful with those beige walls," and you're right.  No worries, the walls are getting painted a blue-grey color.
